It doesn’t work at all. It probably worked because there were no more posts about it. Have you tried the driver from NI? So im not sure what happened, but it did get solved, im just hoping i never run into the issue again, but thanks for the response! Give this a try, if possible verify the GPIB board with another instrument.

I am among the many users of the A HP Multimeter HPIB and am adding it into an already complete research tool as a means for feedback and monitoring. I appreciate the suggestion though, I will check it again with a different instrument. As I recall this type of poll returns a bunch is status bits.
I have a homemade version I can e-mail to you it is not that large and is probably not a complete command set.

Check the configuration of your GPIB Card, I have provided screen captures of my current settings that are working for me. The automation explorer also laview see the device. Message 1 of 6.
